Comments

I had to change the way comments are added to my blog posts.  Unfortunately people were using my personal blog for spamming.  I’m sorry if others got spammed as a result of this.  I just don’t understand why people insist on spamming and putting comments that have no relevance to what the post is about.  I had multiple comments thanking me for the acne solutions I have given.  As most people can tell there isn’t a thing on here about acne.

Again I apologize if anyone else was spammed as a result of this.

For Your Sports Fans

Posted on 12:23 am

My husband is a huge Philadelpia sports fan.  He has been faithful to his teams no matter what kind of season they are having.  Today I decided to make him something so he can see his teams hanging on the wall.  This is made with CDs, modge podge, crazy glue and clock workings.

Wrapping Christmas Presents

Posted on 12:17 am

I love going out and buying Christmas presents for my family.  I don’t particularly like the task of wrapping.  This year my daughter and I decided we would make a few of our tags to put on the presents.  Below are a  couple of pictures of 2 of the many that were made.  I have to get the others up here soon.

From this:

To these:

Like I said just a couple of the many we made.  More to be put up hopefully soon.

Framed Scapbook Picture

Posted on 3:34 am

My niece got married and as a present I made her a framed scrapbook picture of her and her new husband’s engagement picture. I used the colors she had in her wedding.  She really loved it!!!

Diaper Cake

Posted on 3:25 am

My niece had a baby then one of my daughter’s friends had a baby and I was asked to make a diaper cake.  I had the help of my youngest daughter on both of these.  She has turned out to be a good little crafter herself.

Cricut

Posted on 8:49 pm

I love creating things.  My mom has had a cricut for a long time now and I’ve just really started using it.  She let me bring it to my house with all her cartridges and said have fun.  Fun is what I’ve been having.  She has so many different neat font cartridges and some really neat image ones too.  You know how it is though, when you start with something and you’re having fun you just want to do more and more and I was limited to the cartridges she has. (Cause they are expensive)

I was reading on forums and different pages from many talented scrapbookers and crafters and I found one thing kept popping up over and over.  You can create just about anything you want with your cricut with a program you can purchase called Sure Cuts A Lot.  I was skeptical, but kept reading.  I saw some of the designs and fonts they were using and I just couldn’t resist.  I purchased Sure Cuts A Lot.  I opted for the one where you can download immediately, but you still are mailed a disc.  I was reading on their site that you can put this on 2 computers as an owner of the software.  I downloaded it immediately to my laptop so I can have it where ever I go and we will more than likely put it on my moms desk top too.

I love this program.  Paired up with inkscape (a free program) you can create just about anything you can think of and cut it with your cricut.  I know there is a debate out there whether it voids the warranty or not, but for me I have no warranty anyway since this cricut is a good 2 years old.  Sure Cuts A Lot has not made my cricut do any funny things.  I had already updated the firmware because my mom had purchased Cricut Design Studio a long time ago and was never able to get it to work with her computer.  I love the cricut product, but their tech support on that left a lot to be desired.

So if you are adventurous and want to be in charge of your own creations fully you should give this program a try.  Even it if means waiting until your warranty is up with the cricut if you are afraid it will void it.  You won’t be disappointed once you learn to use the  2 programs together along with all the really neat and fun svg files others have created and give them away for FREE.

Give me a little more time and you might just be able to come back here and get some of them for free.

Sure Cuts A Lot did not pay me to write this post. I wrote this post because I was impressed that a program actually did what it said it would do.

Happy crafting,

Elizabeth
